The Eurotech Marble System

1. Initially, a grinding process takes place. The amount of grinding is determined by a number of factors, such as age and color of the marble, depth of scratches, traffic wear, acid etching, and lippage.

2. Secondly, the marble is sealed with a high tech penetrating sealer. This sealer will not change the appearance of the marble and is virtually 100% vapor transmittable. This means while sealing out the unwanted (dirt, water, oils and other potential stains) it will still allow the marble to breathe naturally. This process also adds density to the marble which will improve resistance to scratching.

3. Finally, Eurotech Marble chemically transforms, or "recrystallizes", the calcium carbonate in the top level of the marble into a halogen derivative, hardening the stone in much the same way fluoride hardens tooth enamel. recrystallization makes the marble more resistant to scratches and staining, and allows the stone to hold the deeper shine. The recrystallized surface lasts many months longer than any polymer or synthetic coating, is slip resistant, and, will never require stripping. (Note: Step 3 may very depending on the mineral composition of your stone).

The end result of the Eurotech Marble process is a super durable floor which is more cost efficient to maintain, with a shine that is in most cases, deeper than the original finish applied to new marble at the quarry.
